OverviewCustomer Support Engineer - S6 Scada Support Engineer6 Month contract initiallyBased: Hybrid workingRate: £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella company)ResponsibilitiesResponsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments, including working with ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Distribution System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery.Key Skills & ExperienceDirect experience installing, maintaining or supporting ADMS products (Power On Fusion (PoF) or Power On Advantage (PoA)) including DMS Applications, OMS, Storm Assist and DER.Familiarity with User Interface, SCADA and Modelling tools.Knowledge of both Transmission and Distribution electrical grids.Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, Shell script, SOAP messages, Jasper Report and Cassandra.Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing, routing, LAN, DNS, Active Directory, Firewalls & Switches as it applies to isolating and resolving reported issues in these areas.Ability to work independently with minimum direction.Knowledge of NERC CIP Standards.Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to interface with customers and cross-functional teams.Positive attitude when dealing with customers and co-workers in stressful situations.Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.Familiarity with remote monitoring and diagnostics solutions and concepts.Sets an example in terms of quality, consistency and level of work, as well as work ethic and approach.Desirable skills/knowledge/experienceADMS S6.Power On Fusion (PoF) or Power On Advantage (PoA).SCADA and Modelling tools.Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, Shell script, SOAP messages, Jasper Report and Cassandra.This is an excellent opportunity on a great project of work.
