Lead Cyber Security Engineer

London - 3 days in the office

Our client is building a brand-new Security Operations (SecOps) function, and we need someone who can hit the ground running. Reporting to the Infrastructure Platforms Manager, the Lead Cyber Security Engineer will take ownership of driving SecOps forward, building security principles, ensuring compliance, and working closely with the InfoSec team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security solutions
• Lead incident response and strengthen the zero-trust operating model
• Mentor junior team members and elevate the overall security posture
• Drive key initiatives including ISO 27001 certification and CIS controls implementation

A CISSP qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.

Technology

• CrowdStrike EDR (useful but not essential)
• Mimecast
• Tessian or equivalent email DLP
• Deep understanding of security frameworks & compliance: PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS
• Strong grasp of networking principles
