Principal Consultant - Data, AI and ML Engineering

Data Engineer – London – Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

The Company

We are partnered with a leading organisation in the UK’s entertainment industry. They are undergoing a major data transformation programme, moving towards a modern Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric–driven data platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking Data Engineering team at a time of real innovation and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, build and test cloud-hosted ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple sources.
  • Monitor and support legacy applications, progressively migrating workloads into modern cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Scientists, and Product Owners.
  • Support and enhance data warehousing and reporting capabilities across the business.
  • Deliver high-quality data visualisation products and insights.
  • Work closely with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams.

About You

  • Proven background in Data Engineering.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Server (SSAS – tabular/OLAP).
  • Exposure to Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building/managing pipelines.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong interest to learn).
  • Exposure to SSIS, Jira, or other ETL/visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML or data science practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS, or GCP).
