Overview

We're supporting a leading international law firm with the hire of an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their expanding data team. The role will play a key part in delivering a secure, scalable data platform across the business - supporting analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and developing modern data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools
  • Building and maintaining data lakes, data warehouses, and integration layers across structured and unstructured data sources
  • Managing ELT/ETL processes to support analytics, reporting, and master data workflows
  • Collaborating with data architects and business teams to ensure high-quality, accessible data across platforms
  • Applying data governance, privacy, and security best practices (GDPR awareness essential)
  • Supporting the performance and cost-efficiency of Azure-based data infrastructure

Key experience required

What you will have:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure data tools, especially ADF, Databricks, Synapse, and SQL
  • Solid working knowledge of Python and PySpark
  • Comfortable with data modelling, transformation logic, and integrating systems such as HR, CRM, or practice management tools
  • Familiarity with cloud security and governance in a regulated environment
  • Bonus: exposure to tools like Power BI, or experience working in professional services or legal environments
