This role is within our Digital & Data community, working with product, design, and cross-disciplinary teams to bring ideas to life through innovative software solutions.What You Can ExpectWork in an agile environment with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; use your technical skills to solve client problems and contribute to internal projects.Participate in live in-person whiteboarding sessions and collaborate via Teams.Hybrid working: minimum two days per week in the office or on client site; time spent varies by role and assignment (up to five days on client sites).Collaborate with PA colleagues across the organization to deliver digital solutions for complex business challenges.Design and build for the AWS cloud as part of the data engineering work.Tech StackFocus on AWS cloud technologies for ETL pipelines, data warehouse and data lake design/building, and data movement. AWS data and analytics services (or open-source equivalents) such as EMR, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB.ResponsibilitiesWork on data engineering tasks using Java, Python, Scala, Spark, SQL; design and deploy production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within big data architectures.Develop data processing scripts, API data extraction, and SQL queries; integrate data from multiple sources via ingestion and curation on AWS.Collaborate with teams to deliver data solutions that meet client needs and internal standards.QualificationsEssential requirementsProblem-solving mindset and analytical thinking.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.Experience designing and deploying production data pipelines in a big data architecture using Java, Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.Experience writing scripts, extracting data via APIs, and writing SQL queries.Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources on AWS using native AWS tools or custom programming.Assessment ProcessInitial quick call with a Tech Recruiter to discuss your application and the role.Round 1: competency or technical interview (60 mins).Round 2: the remaining interview type (60 mins).Final round: meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and discussion of client-centricity (60 mins).BenefitsHealth and lifestyle perks including private healthcare for you and your family.25 days of annual leave (plus a bonus half day on Christmas Eve) with option to buy 5 additional days.Generous company pension scheme.Opportunities to get involved with community and charity initiatives.Annual performance-based bonus and PA share ownership.Tax-efficient benefits (cycle to work, give as you earn).Other InformationLife at PA emphasizes supporting well-being and personal growth.
