A growing Microsoft Partner Consultancy are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join their impressive team, and work on cutting-edge projects for a variety of customers.The role is home-based, with some element of travel to client sites when required, and to company conferences and events (expenses-paid). For this reason, they're able to consider candidates across the UK.This role sits within their specialist Data Practice - where you'll work as part of an Agile team to deliver modern data solutions for their clients, enabling better decision-making and driving innovation.You'll work on projects end-to-end, from running workshops to gather requirements, through to solution design, development, implementation and support.Projects typically span data ingestion, data storage (e.g. building new data lakes or data warehouses), data processing, data management, analytics and visualisation, using the latest technologies such as Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Fabric, Databricks, Power BI and more.This role would be well-suited to a Data Engineer looking to take their first-step into Consultancy, or someone who is ready for the next step in their career - being a Microsoft Partner, they are committed to supporting you through your Microsoft Certifications with a huge emphasis on both personal and professional development!We are looking for experience in most of the below areas:Experience in a Data Engineering (or similar) roleStrong scripting skills in SQL and PythonExperience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes using the Azure platform - Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks or FabricKnowledge of data lakes and medallion lake house designWorking knowledge of Power BI or similarStrong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skillsMicrosoft Certifications are desirable but not essentialBenefits include:Salary of up to £55,000 depending upon experienceAnnual salary reviewBonus up to 10%Pension - 5% matched25 days holidayHome working allowanceEnhanced parental pay and leaveSupport towards industry certificationsPlease note that this is a permanent role for UK residents only, and does not offer Sponsorship.
