We are accelerating our investments in agentic AI and rethinking our data engineering strategy.Data Engineering is going to enable a strong transformation of how the CS and Fraud Prevention function operates and is central to delivering a positive customer and partner experience.As a Data Engineer at JET, you will be at the forefront of driving our data-driven initiatives for the organisation. In this role, you will work hands-on with our existing data pipelines, design new pipelines as we onboard new technology and ensure successful delivery of Data & Analytics solutions. You will be instrumental in advancing our data infrastructure, optimising operational efficiency, and significantly contributing to our e-commerce success. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our data engineering and analytics capabilities and directly impacting decision-making.Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London or Amsterdam office & 2 days working from homeReporting to: Manager, Data Engineering (Customer service & fraud prevention)Key responsibilitiesDesign and delivery of key data pipelines within customer services organisation with a focus on automation, self-serve, fraud prevention, Agentic AI and enabling data driven decision makingMentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovationEstablish and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders (internal and external). Act as a key POC for Data Engineering-related mattersDesign, review, and evolve processes for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery with a focus on automation and efficiency across batch and streaming systemsOversee the technical aspects of data projects, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and securityManage project timelines and resources effectively. Ensure understanding of local business needs and priorities for systemsStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluate implementation / integration of emerging technologies such as LLMsWhat will you bring to the team?Prior experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer working with multiple technical work streamsAdvanced skills in SQL and experience with relational databases; proficiency in data transformation tools like DBT is highly desirableExperience leading data science projects and using DS techniques to drive business insightExperience designing and scaling data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Airflow, Databricks, and AWS.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic team environment and interacting with various stakeholdersAbility to lead complex projects, manage resources effectively, and deliver high-quality results on-time in a dynamic high-pace environmentAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailAt JET, this is on the menu:Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.Fun, fast-paced and supportive, the JET culture is about movement, growth and about celebrating every aspect of our JETers.
