OverviewHarrods Hammersmith, England, United KingdomWe are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team here at Harrods. As the Data Engineer you will be responsible for building, testing and implementing data infrastructure and pipelines that collect, centralize, and curate data from multiple internal and external data sources.You may be required to be part of an on-call rota, including weekend shifts.ResponsibilitiesPerform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issuesImplement strategies directed at acquiring data and promoting the development of new insights across the businessMonitor existing metrics, analyze data, and lead partnerships with teams to identify and implement system and process improvementsAdminister, monitor, troubleshoot, analyze and resolve technical problems arising from the technical developmentQualificationsExperience in database management, software engineering, deployment of machine learning models and coordinating data access, preparation and feature engineeringExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong time-management abilities and the willingness to multi-taskProficiency in Python and PySpark and building data pipelines (preferably using Python and PySpark)Experience with Databricks and using Git and CI/CDHands-on experience integrating Fabric with Azure services (e.g., ADLS, Synapse, Power BI)Proficiency in building and managing Fabric Dataflows and Data Pipelines for ingestion and transformationExperience using DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling and transformation, integrated with Fabric environmentsAbout UsHarrods is one of the world’s leading luxury department stores and we’re becoming a destination for top designers and the most sought-after brands from around the globe.
