Data Engineer

Amplified Global is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our engineering team in this critical role. You'll be instrumental in shaping our data strategy, designing and optimising our data pipelines and architecture, and ensuring the integrity of data that underpins our AI-driven product. As our first full-time Data Engineer you will work closely with our CTO, Head of Product, and the rest of the engineering team to help drive the data strategy and systems throughout Amplifi.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our data pipelines and architecture
- Develop and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting needs, ensuring data quality, consistency and integrity
- Collaborate with our engineering and product team to understand data requirements and implement solutions in line with these
- Ensure data integrity and availability is maintained throughout the organisation
- Documentation of processes

Essential qualifications and/or experience
- Extensive experience with SQL and PostgreSQL
- A deep understanding of building modern software with Python 3
- Strong understanding of building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines, such as ELT or ETL
- Experience with dimensional data modeling techniques, such as Star and Snowflake schemas
- Understanding of data analysis and working with stakeholders to understand their requirements of data
- Previous experience with deploying solutions in cloud services (AWS)
- Familiarity with the use of common BI tools used to deliver reports to stakeholders
Desirable qualifications and/or experience
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment
- Familiarity with more complex data warehousing / data lakes solutions
- Experience with integration in a machine learning workflow / ML Ops
