Trafalgar Talent is recruiting on behalf of a dynamic, subscription-based technology company looking to deepen its analytics capability. We're seeking a skilled and self-motivated

Data Engineer

to develop and manage their data infrastructure and help deliver actionable insights across the business using modern data warehousing and BI tools. The successful candidate will build robust ETL pipelines, shape BigQuery-based data warehouses, and deliver compelling Looker dashboards. If you're passionate about optimizing data flows, delivering high-quality reporting, and enhancing data governance, this is your chance to play a vital role in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What Youll Do:

Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL pipelinesleveraging DBT or your tool of choiceto feed a BigQuery data warehouse.

Transform raw data into clean, structured formats suitable for analysis.

Collaborate across engineering and analytics teams to implement scalable data models and dashboards (Looker/LookML).

Improve query performance and data storage efficiency.

Develop visual, user-friendly dashboards and ad-hoc reports that inform strategic decisions.

Implement rigorous data quality checks and governance protocols to ensure integrity across data workflows.

Were Looking For:

5+ years of solid

data engineering experience , with deep expertise in ETL and data warehousing (especially BigQuery).

Hands-on competence with

Looker (LookML)

or similar BI tools.

Strong SQL skills and familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow (or similar).

A thoughtful approach to data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.

Bonus points for experience in SaaS/subscription businesses, data visualization techniques, cloud environments (GCP/AWS), Python, Git, and Unix.
