As a Data Integration Engineer, you'll work across data pipelines, APIs, and backend services to ensure data flows securely and seamlessly between systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable integration solutions that support critical mission capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms using APIs and secure protocols.
Build and optimise scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data across environments.
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to understand integration requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues including data mismatches, authentication errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Document integration workflows, architecture, and operational processes.
Monitor integration health and implement alerting, logging, and performance tracking.
Contribute to continuous improvement of integration architecture and practices.

Key Skills & Experience

Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
Proven backend development skills using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
Strong understanding of API design and integration techniques (REST, Webhooks, GraphQL).
Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT).
Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline tools.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and integration tools.
Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in agile development environments.

Desirable Skills

Understanding of data privacy, security best practices, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
