OverviewLocation: Bracknell Forest, United Kingdom (hybrid)Contract: 06 to 12 monthsWe are seeking a Platform Engineer with strong data platform engineering experience to contribute to AI-powered solutions and data infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesOwn production systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.Work with AWS services (RDS, Redshift, DMS, Lambda) and implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.Manage IBM CDC replication technologies and Confluent Kafka; administer Couchbase clusters and perform version upgrades, security patching, and performance tuning.Develop and maintain data replication pipelines; implement Python and shell scripting for automation.Participate in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins-based) and ensure smooth deployment processes.Address networking considerations and ensure proper data flow across systems.Qualifications5+ years in data platform engineering or equivalent experience.Hands-on experience with Kafka streaming platforms.Couchbase or similar NoSQL cluster administration experience.Experience with data replication pipelines and related tooling.Strong scripting skills in Python and shell; experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) is a plus.Understanding of networking protocols and secure, scalable system design.Preferred QualificationsHands-on with Kafka streaming platforms (additional depth in streaming data architectures).Couchbase cluster administration (or similar NoSQL) experience.Data replication pipeline development and maintenance.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and Media #J-18808-Ljbffr
