Job Description:

We are looking to strengthen our engineering team with an EICA Engineer based at Exeter, with hybrid working available and an expectation to attend sites on a regular basis.

• You will report directly to the RDL, and your role will be to provide superior quality Engineering Design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. You will coordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings, taking into account health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards pertaining to the contract.
• Key responsibilities will include:
• Produce design layouts that are cost-effective, meet the requirements of the specifications, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
• Provide estimates and feedback for the proposals department.
• Work according to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
• Monitor and review the procedures and processes.
• Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
• Coordinate designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWHT to ensure cohesive design processes for the benefit of the contract.
• Work within a culture where satisfying the customer is key to achieving other objectives, considering all beneficiaries of our processes, including end users and other departments.
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
• Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
• Ensure designs consider environmental issues.
• Ensure that design fully adheres to all health and safety requirements.
