Overview Design Engineer (IP Networking, Ethernet & Wi-Fi specialist) – London – Competitive Salary + Benefits (Dependent upon experience) Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical designs, specifications, schedules, CAD drawings, and documentation for IP networking and wireless communication systems. Manage the full lifecycle from site survey to commissioning, ensuring network infrastructure meets capacity, availability, and security requirements. Perform network modelling, capacity planning, and performance optimisation. Oversee commissioning activities and work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose networking solutions for high-profile projects.

Qualifications

Strong track record in IP network design and delivery, with experience in Ethernet and Wi-Fi systems. Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant network design tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex technical challenges. A relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience is essential. Knowledge of network performance testing or commissioning is advantageous.
