I’m currently representing an Engineering company, in the Aerospace industry. They’re looking for a talented Design Engineer to join them on a 6-month contract.

Job Description

Create CAD models for parts and tooling and run simulations using FEA to determine how the material will behave during the forging process.

Collaborate directly with the teams in Manufacturing and Production to identify and resolve problems and minimize the occurrence of faults.

Streamline the design process, cut down on excess material use, and improve accuracy in the design process.

Produce engineering drawings to the BS8888 specifications. Work across multiple teams to ensure smooth implementation of design modifications.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or relevant technical degree

Experienced in FEA for stress analysis

Proficient in Siemens NX preferably, SolidWorks will be considered

Familiar with GD&T and 2D Technical Drawings
