Job Description

Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Filton, UK

Duration: 12 Months Contract (possible extension)


Role Overview:

Provide hands-on design support to the Wing Plant, helping deliver wing components to final assembly lines (FALs). Lead and approve design modifications and flow improvements to boost production, quality, and cost efficiency. Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver integrated and airworthy design solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and authorize design changes, including major and minor modifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor engineering team members.
  • Ensure all designs meet airworthiness and safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Chief Engineer and Configuration Management.
