Design Engineer 6 months initial Manchester – 3 days onsite/week Up to £500 per day

Our client is currently seeking a Design Engineer to ensure design excellence across a portfolio of 300+ concurrent workplace and job centre projects. This is not a hands-on design role but focuses on design assurance, standards evolution, and strategic guidance.

Essential criteria

* Professional qualification in Architecture or Interior Design (experience in commercial/retail sectors preferred)

* Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale workplace or public sector projects (job centres particularly relevant)

* Expertise in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards

* Proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively and present to senior audiences

* Hands-on experience developing and implementing design standards

* Thorough working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA project stages
