Design Engineer Certain Advantage is looking for a Design Engineer based in the Manchester area, with occasional travel to customer sites, sea trials, and suppliers.

The Company We’re working with a specialist marine engineering client who designs and builds high-performance boats and workboats for access, rescue, patrol, and interdiction missions. Their vessels are trusted by customers worldwide, from commercial operators to government agencies.

The Role: This role is perfect for a practical, detail-oriented engineer with hands-on experience—personal or professional—with small boats, and a passion for translating operational needs into robust, compliant, and efficient vessel designs. You’ll combine strong CAD capability with collaborative, on-site problem solving across both office and factory environments.

Working closely with customers, surveyors, production teams, and suppliers, you will be responsible for:
