Design Engineer

Were looking for a Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting the development of innovative power and control solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the full product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, while contributing to the continuous improvement of existing products.
What youll be doing
Design and development of power and control circuits (digital & analogue). Contribute to new product implementation, from schematic, layout, and testing through to approvals and delivery. Research and apply new technologies in electronics and power circuits. Prepare and present proposals at design reviews. Carry out detailed circuit design, simulation, and verification testing. Component selection and obsolescence management. Produce manufacturing packs for PCB designs. Work cross-functionally with production, test, and service teams to ensure DFx principles. Ensure product test strategy is implemented across the design process. Support and improve existing products, including firmware and hardware updates. Apply problem-solving and modelling techniques for product simulation. Write specifications, technical reports, and maintain design documentation. Participate in peer reviews and knowledge sharing across the team. Provide training and technical support on new products to internal departments. What were looking for
Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Electronics, or Embedded Systems (or equivalent). Proven experience in hardware system design. Strong knowledge of schematic and PCB layout (OrCAD ideal). Skilled in using test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, PSUs, load banks, etc.). Methodical, analytical, and creative approach to design and problem solving. Good knowledge of power electronics applications in product design. Strong IT skills, including MS Office; experience with Agile tools (JIRA) a bonus. Understanding of relevant standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, RoHS, EMC, etc.). Whats in it for you
