Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to join the Brentwood office and contribute to the delivery of fit-for-purpose utility network designs. This customer-facing role plays a key part in supporting business growth through technical excellence and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Produce utility network designs and construction packs in line with customer and business requirements. Work closely with Business Development, ESOs, and Designers to develop tender and construction designs. Ensure designs meet planning, safety, and technical standards. Promote a zero-harm culture and ensure compliance with HSEQ policies. Conduct Design Risk Assessments and support safety by design principles. Collaborate across teams to ensure effective project delivery. Represent the business in customer interactions with support from senior engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in engineering or technical subject (or equivalent industry experience). Strong understanding of engineering principles and health & safety legislation. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards). Experience with utility new connections and development sites. Understanding of construction principles. Proficient in AutoCAD.

Conditions of Employment

Full UK driving licence required.
