Design Engineer – Beauty/Retail Central London, hybrid (3 days, 2 days remote) | Full-time (37.5 hours) | £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

Are you an innovative engineer with a passion for retail design and beauty environments? We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our team and bring technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving to exciting retail projects across the UK and beyond.

This role sits at the intersection of design and production engineering — ensuring retail spaces don’t just look great, but work seamlessly too.

What the Design Engineer will be doing:

Design & Development – Create and refine innovative engineering designs for retail fixtures, layouts, and systems.

Project Management – Lead technical aspects of store rollouts, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure projects run on time and to budget.

Technical Support – Troubleshoot store infrastructure, POS, networking, and environmental controls.

*

Innovation & Optimization – Research sustainable, scalable, and energy-efficient solutions for retail environments.

What we’re looking for:

Proven 2D & 3D engineering experience in beauty/retail design.

*

Strong SolidWorks skills and knowledge of PDM processes.

*

Deep understanding of materials, production, and manufacturing processes.

*

Ability to interpret client briefs into tangible engineering solutions.

*

Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple projects.

*

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

*

Analytical, problem-solving, proactive, and detail-focused.
