Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company that has recently secured significant seed funding from leading European venture capital firms. This is an opportunity to be part of the team at an early stage, helping shape both the product experience and the way design and engineering come together, with equity available for the right candidate.
This is a fast-moving, early-stage environment tackling a huge market opportunity.
The Role
The Design Engineer will work closely with the founders and product team to turn wireframes, mock-ups, and creative concepts into polished, production-ready user experiences. This role blends strong design sensibility with hands-on coding, making it ideal for someone passionate about creating beautiful, intuitive, and highly interactive web experiences.
We’re looking for a designer who can code, or a front-end engineer with a strong eye for design.
Work could involve:
Bringing wireframes, mock-ups, and ideas to life in code
Designing and implementing elegant, interactive interfaces that delight end users
Making customer-facing tools and flows intuitive and easy to use
Working across design and engineering to ensure consistent, polished experiences
Iterating rapidly to explore new interaction patterns and design possibilities
This is a collaborative, in-person role based in London, reporting directly to the CPTO.
Tech Stack
Front-end: TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Motion, and other modern libraries/tools
Tooling: GitHub, Linear, Notion, Figma, Slack
The Ideal Candidate
You will be passionate about crafting seamless experiences that balance design and engineering. You’ll have an eye for detail, care deeply about fluid interactions, and take pride in writing maintainable, elegant code. You’ll enjoy moving between design and implementation, helping define not just how the product looks, but also how it works and feels.
Bonus points for experience with:
Advanced animation libraries such as Motion or GSAP
3D/web graphics with Three.js or WebGL
Complex design systems supporting multiple brands
Highly interactive and animated web experiences
Generative AI technologies
