OverviewDesign Quality Engineer, Flintshire - Onsite, 12 Month Contract, £26.00 PAYE - £34.76 UmbrellaA vacancy has arisen for a Design Quality Engineer for a large Manufacturing Company within Aerospace Industry based at our client's site in Flintshire. This is a great opportunity to interface with Engineering teams and suppliers around different locations in Europe, America and Asia.The RoleThe role involves the resolution of quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase process performance and product adherence to standards, reliability of processes, and repeatability of processes at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product.ResponsibilitiesThe Quality Engineering team is accountable for the deployment of the Quality Strategy within the Engineering organisations. This strategy is deployed via the implementation of 'Quality Improvement Project/Plans' in order to support the achievement of the Engineering quality targets.You will also be responsible for Quality Performance activities, such as:Drive and deliver improvement projects in order to support the achievement of the Engineering quality targets (Primary activity of role)Facilitate and support root cause analysis & practical problem solving activitiesEstablish and drive corrective and preventive action plans in order to support the improvement of engineering quality performance and its associated deliverablesIdentify risks/issues relating to the quality of the engineering deliverable and facilitate, support and drive standardised mitigation plans in order to prevent / mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processesSupport the deployment of Quality standards and apply them within the Engineering organisationEssential Skills RequiredEngineering experience essentialProgramme management experience highly desirableQuality and Design understandingRelevant Quality and/or Engineering ExperienceProject Management knowledgeUnderstanding of Failure modes effects analysisUnderstanding of root cause analysis techniques (e.g. 9S, 8D etc.)Be able to demonstrate appropriate people skills and associated behaviours when interacting with all levels of the management structureThe ability to learn quickly, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the workloadHave exceptional communication and English skills, both verbal and writtenHave excellent IT skills as appropriate to the role (Google Workspace/Microsoft Office)DesirableKnowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management SystemsUnderstanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification managementExperience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment would be beneficial although not essentialAbility to communicate in German both verbally and in written form are highly beneficial although not essentialProgramming experience (Javascript, Google apps script, Python…) are highly beneficial although not essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
