If so this may be the role for you. \n\nLocation: Peterborough - 5 days on-site required\n\nPay rates: £30.70- £35.70 (depending on experience)\n\nHours of work: 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 16:45, Friday 08:30 - 16:15\n\nContract: 12 month contract\n\nOur client is currently seeking a Development Engineer to join their Engine Team in new design to meet the changing energy landscape.

This role will be focused on design solutions to address challenging requirements, from projects within New Product Introduction, New Technology or updates to existing platforms for a variety of applications. The successful candidate will serve as an experienced contributor on assignments that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across global Manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.\n\nAs a Development Engineer in the team, you will be expected to have relevant development experience, knowledge of engines and be able to lead, plan and execute challenging tasks and projects. \n\nTasks may include:\n\nExecution of Core Engine System validation activities\nNew product development technical issue resolution.\nConducting FMEA on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs.\nPlan and execute validation tests.\nConducting component and system design reviews\nKeeping peers, team leader and management up to date with progress against planned activities.\nSupport resolution to production, test and field issues, diagnose issues to root cause, put in place containment actions, and develop permanent corrective actions.

Work with suppliers and keep stakeholders informed of progress and decisions \n\nThe ideal candidate will have:\n\nTechnical background through both experience and a HNC or relevant degree\nKnowledge in a minimum of Engine systems\n\nRelevant development experience\n\nGood understanding of Manufacturing principles & processes\n\nDevelopment experience of mechanical components and systems\n\nSelf-motivation and an ability to manage and deliver tasks to meet established commitments.\n\nExcellent communications skills & Teamwork\n\nIf this is the role for you don't delay your application.
