DevOps AWS Engineer
New Yesterday
At Aevi, we're not just a team; we're a vibrant, global community, committed to shaking up the payments industry. Our culture is all about innovation, creativity, and a passion for pushing boundaries. We’re thrilled to welcome new Aevi’ators who vibe with our values and mission and are ready to join us on our journey of transformation and growth.
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our platforms and applications. You’ll work within the AWS engineering team to design scalable, secure, and automated systems that support both developers and production workloads.
Your focus will be on automation, observability, and reliability — creating reusable Terraform/Terragrunt modules, maintaining Kubernetes clusters, and improving CI/CD pipelines. You’ll collaborate closely with development and security teams to ensure smooth delivery, strong governance, and consistent infrastructure across multiple AWS accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and automated cloud infrastructure supporting our application and platform teams.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and deployment orchestration with ArgoCD.
- Manage and optimize multi-account AWS environments, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers and security teams to integrate infrastructure, deployments, and observability into development workflows.
- Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring performance, security, and smooth application delivery.
- Build automation around infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Terraform, Terragrunt, and custom tooling.
- Improve observability through Grafana, Loki, and related systems, ensuring proactive issue detection and visibility.
- Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native operations across the engineering organization.
We would love to see
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong understanding of AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53, RDS) and cloud networking fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and containerized application management.
- Good scripting or programming skills (Python, NodeJS) for automation and tooling.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Strong grasp of monitoring and observability (Grafana, Loki, metrics, alerting).
- Familiarity with Linux systems, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of networking, security principles, and IAM best practices in cloud environments.
- Collaborative mindset — works closely with developers and security to deliver reliable, maintainable systems.
