BEV Propulsion Systems
to be based at our customers site in Gaydon
. Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions. The Role: We are seeking an experienced Software Tooling & DevOps Engineer to drive the evolution of software build systems and development toolchains for electrified propulsion platforms (xHEV/BEV). This role is central to enabling scalable, robust, and high-throughput software delivery across hybrid and battery electric vehicle programs. You will work alongside propulsion software developers, calibration engineers, and systems teams to enhance automation, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262 . Area of Responsibility Toolchain Development & Enhancement Develop and maintain advanced software toolchains to support propulsion software and calibration workflows Integrate and optimize tools for model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink), A2L handling, and calibration data management Expand build infrastructure to support additional software builds and improve throughput, robustness, and efficiency DevOps & CI/CD Automation Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software and calibration releases using Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory Implement dependency management using Conan and ensure reproducible builds across platforms Automate testing, validation, and deployment processes for propulsion control software Calibration & Data Integration Enable seamless integration of calibration data into software builds and validation environments Support version control and traceability of calibration parameters using A2L and HEX formats Collaborate with calibration teams to ensure tooling supports efficient parameter tuning and release management Web-Based Tooling & Interfaces Develop and maintain internal web applications and dashboards using Django for tooling orchestration and data visualization Provide intuitive interfaces for build monitoring, release tracking, and issue triage Compliance & Process Alignment Ensure tooling and workflows align with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards for safety-critical software Support audits, documentation, and process improvements to meet OEM and Tier-1 supplier requirements Knowledge / Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field Strong experience in software tooling, DevOps, or embedded systems development in the automotive domain Proficiency in: Python
