We have hubs in London and New York, and we are looking for people who are excited by our mission and who want to share this journey with us. For us, hybrid means being in the office together on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

About the Role

The DevOps team is responsible for driving and championing DevOps principles at Conduktor - with the key mission that our customers can easily access, deploy and run our products. We strive to abide by core principles that focus on empowering other teams to be self-reliant, as well as encouraging change and stability and continuous improvement. Specifically, we look after various areas of responsibility and work to leverage whatever tool is best suited for the job. We’re strongly opinionated about what we know but humble about what we don’t know.

As a Devops at Conduktor, you will focus on shaping our cloud infrastructure and make sure all the pieces fit together. A successful applicant will join the team of three experienced DevOps engineers.

What will you be doing?

• Our DevOps team is responsible for building and maintaining the tools our customers use to deploy Conduktor’s products, and for the infrastructure for building, testing and benchmarking those products
• This involves work across various disciplines, with a tight focus on our specific areas of responsibility, such as cloud provisioning, infrastructure management, observability, and CI/CD
• You will be responsible for building and maintaining various tools, solutions and services associated with these areas
• Taking ownership where needed. We’ve no shortage of projects to tackle, you should feel empowered to take any of these in hand and own them to completion, with the ability to determine what’s needed to get it over the line
• Recent projects within the team include:
• Development of a new terraform operator, to deploy Conduktor’s software in customer systems
• Creating benchmarking environments, so that we can measure the performance of our software
• Managing and creating customer representative staging environments to aid our developers
• Building and maintaining our customer facing helm chart for deployment of our on-premise artefacts

What experience are we looking for?

• Relevant experience in a similar DevOps/software role, with equivalent experience with cloud providers (AWS & Azure)
• Relevant experience with IaC deployments, with a solid understanding of Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes and containers
• Experience with building and maintaining tools written in Go
• Experience keeping documentation up to date with CI/CD pipelines
• We mostly use GitHub Actions, but any experience with comparable platforms is great
• Experience with Kafka and its various extensions is advantageous
