Role Summary

Responsibilities and requirements for a DevOps Engineer focusing on CI/CD, IaC, cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, security, collaboration, and incident/change management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure.
• Ensure consistency and scalability across environments.
• Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for high availability and cost optimization.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based systems.
• Automate routine tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Develop scripts for system updates, backups, and log rotation.
• Set up and maintain monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Optimize performance and ensure system reliability.
• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning and IAM policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams; participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis; manage change control and release processes.

Qualifications / Skills

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for high availability and cost optimization.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Knowledge of security practices including vulnerability scanning and IAM policies.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with incident response and change management processes.
