1. Provide third line technical application support for internal and external users.
2. Coordinate the investigation and estimation of business change requests to existing or new Freeview Play Services.
3. Ensure all product enhancement requests and open support issues are prioritized and addressed.
4. Establish and maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of each application, working with business unit end users to understand needs.
5. Maintain a central repository of test collateral for each application, ensuring projects deliver new test scripts (e.g., Business Process Tests, System Tests, Unit Tests, and Performance Tests) in a standard and comprehensive format.
6. Ensure each test release exercises a full regression test utilizing the associated test collateral.
7. Undertake Service Transition, Project Delivery, and Application Lifecycle Management activities.
8. Contribute to new software applications initiatives and the management and governance of supplier delivery.
9. Maintain relationships with key users of business applications and system owners.
10. Work as part of a DevOps team to design and deliver technical solutions specified through agile project methodologies using tools like Jira and Confluence.
11. Execute code deployment through testing, staging, and production platforms.
12. Carry out third line support activities on fault investigations through monitoring analysis, producing root cause analysis and post-incident reports.
13. Develop workflow and deployment automation tools supporting dynamic service creation across multiple application and monitoring components.
14. Ensure system deployments, software developments, and access/authentication adhere to best practice security models.
15. Support development estimation activities and showcase deliveries.
16. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and the board.
17. Implement control measures and regular reporting, taking corrective actions to maintain benefits delivery and meet financial targets.
18. Promote a culture of Safety, Health, and Environment to ensure a safe working environment.
19. Maintain a secure working environment in line with ISO270001 and the Information Security Management System to protect individuals, information, and assets.

Qualifications

• Degree level of education or equivalent industry sector experience.
• Strong Linux server management skills.
• Strong cloud server management skills in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with demonstrable ability to use tools like Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
• Strong skills in configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Consul.
• Experience with software development methodologies and code management systems like Git.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Good knowledge of agile project methodologies, supporting effort estimations, spike activities, and showcase presentations.
• Proven experience in resource planning, utilization, and management.
