We’re working with a specialist technology team delivering high-performance, on-premises application infrastructure for global clients. They’re seeking an experienced Application-Centric DevOps Engineer who’s passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code, and bridging the gap between development and operations.

You’ll join a small, highly skilled team where your work will directly shape scalable, reliable, and secure application deployments. The environment is fast-moving, technically challenging, and highly collaborative — perfect for engineers who thrive on solving complex infrastructure problems and want ownership over their solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Build & Evolve CI/CD Pipelines: Design and optimise automated pipelines using YAML-based configuration (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) to ensure smooth, reliable deployments.
• Infrastructure-as-Code Leadership: Create and maintain IaC solutions in YAML & Python, automating provisioning, scaling, and monitoring of bare-metal environments.
• Container Orchestration: Deploy and manage Kubernetes & Docker environments, using Helm charts and manifests to keep applications performant and scalable.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement and refine application monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Corvil, ensuring performance bottlenecks are caught early.
• Collaborative Development: Partner with software teams to embed DevOps best practice into the development lifecycle.
• Security Automation: Apply role-based access controls and security policies within YAML-based configurations to meet compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Troubleshoot & Optimise: Investigate production issues, using automation and configuration management to deliver rapid fixes and ongoing performance improvements.
• 5+ years in DevOps / SRE roles with strong infrastructure automation experience.
• Advanced YAML expertise for CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and IaC workflows.
• Strong Python scripting (plus Bash) for automation tooling.
• Deep knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production.
• Experience with bare-metal infrastructure and complex networking.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Corvil, ELK Stack, and database integration for monitoring/logging.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a lean, high-impact team.

Nice to Have:

• Application performance profiling experience
• DevOps certifications (AWS, GCP, or equivalent)

Projects You Could Work On

• Automating End-to-End Application Deployments – Using the in-houseGlass IaC framework to provision and monitor critical on-premises applications at scale.
• Kubernetes Infrastructure Overhaul – Designing YAML-based deployment strategies to improve resilience, scalability, and speed-to-market.
• Advanced Monitoring Solutions – Building integrated dashboards across Prometheus, Grafana, and Corvil for real-time application performance insights.
• Security-as-Code – Embedding security and compliance into every stage of the CI/CD pipeline through automated configuration management.
