Document Controller / Configuration Engineer Administrator - Prestwick KA9 Contract ly until end of December Rate: £15.00 - £17.25 Location: On-site, full-time Working Hours: • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM • Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM • (37 hours per week flexible start times may be considered) ________________________________________ Overview Our client is seeking a Document Controller or Configuration Engineer Administrator to support a busy engineering environment. Due to a Configuration Engineer leaving, they have a gap in the team and are open to candidates with strong document control or configuration administration experience. While the preference is for a Configuration Engineer, they are happy to consider a strong Document Controller who can contribute immediately.

This is a full-time, on-site role with the potential to move from contract to permanent. The client is also actively recruiting for a permanent hire, so long-term opportunities exist for the right candidate.

Purpose of the Role Accountable for the maintenance and update of the Document Management System and Technical Library, ensuring accurate and timely control of technical data across all business functions.

Key Responsibilities • Accountable for the correct issuing of drawings and other materials from the Document Management System as requested by all functions and production personnel. • Responsible for the generation, update, and maintenance of the Technical Control Manuals (TCMs) for various projects on site. • Provide engineering data support to all areas including engineering, quality, production, and others as required. • Assist in the implementation of visual displays and control documents to improve communication of quality and engineering information across the business. • Ensure that all information published to the supply chain is current and accurate. • Create and maintain manual and electronic filing and recording systems in support of engineering control. • Support the timely provision of engineering data for new bids and estimates. • Coordinate the flow of engineering information into and out of the site to enable smooth introduction of new business.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience • Minimum of 1 year's relevant office experience, including managing both paper and electronic filing systems. • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently when needed. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities. • Good standard of education with an understanding of office procedures. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. • High attention to detail is essential.
