*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical tasks related to gas installations and maintenance. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

*Responsibilities*

* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. * Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. * Assemble and plumb gas lines, ensuring proper connections and functionality. * Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks, including welding when necessary. * Perform heavy lifting as required during installation or maintenance activities. * Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. * Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on-site. * This role may involve inclusion in an on-call schedule

*Skills*

* CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1 required. * LPG, UHW & CMDDA1 desirable. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. * Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. * Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. * Experience in carpentry is a plus, aiding in the integration of gas systems within structures. * Ability to assemble components accurately and plumb systems correctly. * Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily responsibilities.
