Domestic Plumbing and Gas Engineer

£40k-£45k Basic Salary + Company Van + Pension + Benefits

Alecto Recruitment Ltd currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumbing and Gas Engineer to join a leading and well-established client of ours and who have over 20 years' experience within the Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services sector.

Working as a mobile engineer, your role will mainly cover the Hampshire region (Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham etc.), therefore you will need to live local to one of these areas and to be considered.

Job Summary:

Carrying out service work, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and plumbing / gas boiler repairs. Installation of pipework, water heaters, TMVs, and general plumbing systems. Responsible for PPM tasks, fault-finding. Support overall facilities maintenance and building services team as and when required. Typical clients and contracts include Schools, Colleges, MOD Contracts etc. Superb opportunity to at some point progress into your commercial gas ACS. Form part of a call out rota which is 1 week in 4, however very rare to be called out. (additional standby payment when on call, plus overtime rates and paid door to door).

What we are looking for:

Qualified and experienced Plumber - ideally relevant NVQ / City & Guilds certificates. Qualified and experienced Domestic Gas Engineer - holding gas tickets such as CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 Hold UK driving licence.

Salary / Package includes:

£40k-£45k Base Salary (depending on experience) + Additional Overtime and Callout Rates 40 Hour Week - 08:00-16:30 Company Van, Tools, PPE, Phone, Tablet 22 days holiday plus bank holidays Private Healthcare Paid Sick Leave Pension
