Drainage Engineer
I am recruiting for a Drainage Engineer in Derby to coordinate cyclic, reactive, and planned maintenance of highway drainage assets; perform site inspections and condition surveys as required. Hybrid role, 6 months contract, hourly rate is based on experience.
Whilst hybrid role candidate must be in client office (Derbyshire County Council, Station Road, Darley Dale, Matlock, DE4 2EQ) 2 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

Manage cyclic, reactive, and planned works on the highway drainage network
Undertake site inspections and surveys as required
Support the collection and management of data relating to highway drainage assets
Provide timely and appropriate responses to customer and service user enquiries

Skills & Experience Required:

BTec Higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience
Strong technical and practical problem-solving abilities
Experience in highway drainage asset management and maintenance, or transferable skills from a similar field
These roles will work closely with other services across the Highways Division to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
