Morson Talent is proud to be supporting a major infrastructure organisation in the recruitment of a Drainage Engineer for their West Midlands-based engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of highway drainage maintenance and renewals across a key regional network.
Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll play a critical role in identifying asset needs, developing technical designs, and supporting the long-term resilience of essential drainage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop early solutions for drainage asset improvements and renewals, ensuring value, innovation, and buildability are considered
Ensure accurate asset data is captured, maintained, and aligned with company standards and databases
Prepare briefs and support survey and investigation works related to highway drainage
Create and review technical briefs for external design contractors
Lead or support the design of highway renewals and maintenance schemes for drainage assets
About You:
Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Hands-on experience in drainage engineering within a highways or infrastructure environment
Strong understanding of DMRB standards, CDM 2015 regulations, and their application in practice
Ability to work within defined budgets and deliver value-driven solutions
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points) is essential
