Drainage Engineer

My client, an innovative, well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts near the scholarly, historical city of Oxford.
Essential Criteria:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar, relevant discipline
- Extensive experience of having worked in a drainage-focused role, specifically in a design-based/consultancy capacity
- Demonstrable experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Experience of Foul Water and Surface Water Drainage Design
- Working knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), and their design
- Knowledge of the relevant section Agreements (including S104, S106, S278, etc.), and their respective applications
- Competent in the use of the relevant software packages, including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, etc.
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold Chartership status, or actively working to attain this
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
In the diverse role of Drainage Engineer, you will join a specialist team of design experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
- Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations
- Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects
- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, S278, and other relevant Section Agreements
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
