The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Commissioning Engineer to support a major nuclear project. The successful candidate will be based in West Cumbria, with potential for working a rolling shift pattern of 4 days on - 4 off.
The role will support the EC&I Commissioning Capability team. The successful candidate will preferably have existing knowledge and experience in nuclear standards and processes.
Your duties and responsibilities:
To carry out vendor testing witnessing duties at works test.
Preparation of plant commissioning test specifications.
Early inspection of site installation to facilitate system handovers.
Execution of testing activities throughout IPC commissioning phase.
Identification of faults and the ability to propose and implement solutions.
Organisation of Commissioning Technicians and support resources.
Initiation and implementation of FOBs.
Validation of Working Level Instructions.
Application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Minimum - HNC/HND in Engineering related subject
Nuclear CE&I systems commissioning
Experience in nuclear commissioning
Project management knowledge, preferably APM member
Calculation production using Excel.
IOSH Managing Safely
SMSTS or SSSTS
CSCS/ECS supervisory card relevant to trade
Design Tools/Software:
Microsoft suite
This role has the potential of being a shift role - 4 days on - 4 off x 12 hour rolling shift pattern
The setting for the role:
The role will be mainly office based with trips to site if required. A safety induction will be provided.
