Working closely with the wider team, you will help to deliver excellent service to clients while identifying opportunities for growth within the business.Your Responsibilities Will Include:Ecological Surveys – Conducting Preliminary Ecological Assessment Surveys, Protected Species Surveys, Hedgerow Surveys, and BREEAM AssessmentsBiodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessments – Undertaking surveys and precise unit calculationsReport Writing – Producing high-quality ecological reports with minimal supervisionProject Management – Ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budgetClient & Stakeholder Liaison – Building strong relationships and providing expert adviceProtected Species Surveys & Licensing – Coordinating and undertaking surveys for bats, great crested newts, badgers, and other protected speciesClerk of Works Duties – Acting as an ecological consultant on site when requiredCollaboration Across Teams – Working closely with arboricultural and landscape design specialistsWhat We’re Looking For:A Relevant Degree or Postgraduate Qualification – Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related fieldStrong Field Ecology Skills – Experience with Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveysExcellent Report Writing Skills – Ability to produce clear, well-structured reportsBNG knowledge & experience – Ability to accurately calculate baseline & net gain dataA ‘Can-Do’ Attitude & Solution-Focused Mindset – Proactive and enthusiastic approach to workAbility to Work Independently & Efficiently – Strong time management and self-motivationKnowledge of Environmental & Sustainability Issues – An appreciation of wider ecological impactsFull UK Driving Licence & Own Transport – Essential for fieldwork and travelWhat You’ll Love About Working With Us:A company that values high-quality work and continuous improvementExciting career progression opportunities in a growing consultancyA varied workload – No two days are the same!A friendly, knowledgeable team that supports your professional developmentThe chance to make a real impact on biodiversity and sustainability projectsIf you’re ready to take the next step in your ecology career, Ascerta would love to hear from you!Apply now and be part of a company that truly values its people and the environment! #J-18808-Ljbffr
