Role: Shift Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer (Double Days)

I am working with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer who are looking to recruit Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer to join their busy engineering team. This is an exciting time to be joining this business as they are about to commence a period of expansion which will see the site significantly increase its output.
The Electrical and Automation Engineer will get involved with project work associated with the expansion and will also participate in the day-to-day maintenance (PPM and reactive) and CI of existing production equipment whilst participating in Installations and commissioning of new equipment.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Maintenance, fault finding and repair of all electrical equipment and controls associated with Production processing and Packaging equipment
Maintenance, fault finding and repair of all electrical equipment and controls associated with Production processing and Packaging equipment
Setting maintenance regimes for equipment, implementing preventative, run time and reactive maintenance strategies
Modification to plant, manufacturing equipment and services.
Deviation investigations to define Corrective and Preventative actions and prevent re-occurrence.
Commissioning activities to confirm that equipment will operate in accordance with design intent and to ensure installation and qualification tasks are executed smoothly.
Maintain PLC and Computer based systems.
Perform PLC and Computer based system back-ups and ensure Software version control in association with the EML Computer Systems Register.
Carry out modifications to PLC/PC Software, programs and ladder logic.Ideally applicants should be time served with at least 5 years' experience from a regulated solid dose manufacturing facility working on equipment associated with granulation, compression, coating and packaging. An HNC, HND or equivalent in an electrical, instrumentation or automation discipline is highly desirable.
