Located on the South Coast, this role would be commutable from Portsmouth, Fareham, Port Solent, Portsmouth & Southampton.Ref:24550The RoleBe a part of the design and implementation of large marine electrical installations, focusing on their most innovative productWork with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel-specific system variantsUtilise professional drawing package EPlanCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into cutting-edge marine technology solutionsWork with an expert team providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughoutThe PersonA bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A master’s degree would be excellentPreferably possess some experience of large marine electrical installations, with an understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sectorExpertise in ATEX/IEC Ex rated installations is desired, with a strong focus on safety and compliance in explosive atmospheresProficiency with a professional electrical drawing package is essential - EPlan is the preferred choiceExcellent communication skills and a collaborative team player, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse teamAny background of working in the marine sector is useful.
