Contract Role: Electrical Design Engineer Gloucestershire £28/hr (Ltd Co / Self-Employed) 34 month contract (possible extension) Office-based with occasional site visits
Join a market leader in systems integration for specialist vehicles (logistics & security) and building systems. A varied and hands-on role with scope for development.
What youll be doing: Designing PLC control systems for vehicle conversions Creating BOMs, wiring diagrams, and technical docs Working on bespoke boards and integrating devices Supporting production & aftersales Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Optional PLC programming
What were looking for: HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical discipline Strong design & documentation skills Experience with PLCs, sensors, actuators, and vehicle systems Familiarity with LV mains, batteries, Office 365, Visio, SolidWorks Electrical Full UK Driving Licence
Bonus skills (nice to have): RS Wire / PromisE LabVIEW, C++ Experience with HGV/LGV electrics
