Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Bristol or Runcorn (Hybrid Working Model). Contract Type: Inside IR35. This role is in the aerospace sector and supports projects including the BAE Tempest and Typhoon programmes.

Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to support advanced aerospace projects in an Inside IR35 contract role based in either Bristol or Runcorn, with a flexible hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Electrical wiring design using Catia V5 and NX with electrical workbench capabilities.
• 3D modelling and CAD installation analysis of electrical looms/harnesses.
• Draughting and cable routing design.
• Interpretation and implementation of principle drawings.
• Compilation of accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs).
• Circuit design with a focus on fusing and electrical protection strategies.

Toolsets

• Catia V5 (Electrical Workbench)
• NX (Electrical Workbench)

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace industry experience.
• Electrical design and installation support for BAE Tempest and/or Typhoon Aircraft.
• Familiarity with BAE formats, electrical methods, and processes.
• Delegation of authority for ‘authorised check’ on Tempest and/or Typhoon.
• Awareness of aircraft build processes.
