This is a hands-on design role working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll lead the electrical specification and integration of complex control systems, working from customer requirements through to full production handover. Open to a junior or more experienced Engineer looking to join a growing company with a full order book.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Design detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
• Translate client requirements into compliant and cost-effective designs
• Select and specify components for performance, availability, and regulation
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams to ensure full integration
• Support prototype development and supplier communication
• Produce documentation including BOMs, calculations, and compliance packs
• Support multiple projects in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Solid background in electrical/control panel design
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical
• Skilled in electrical schematics, BOM structures and component selection
• Relevant engineering qualification (Degree or HND/HNC preferred but not essential)
• Comfortable working across several active projects with tight deadlines
• Clear communicator and team player with a proactive mindset

Located in Staffordshire, this role would be commutable from; Nottingham, Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, Lichfield, Swadlincote and Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
