Electrical Design Engineer Water Industry

East Hampshire (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients design and delivery team, working on innovative projects in the UK water industry. You'll play a key role in the design, specification, installation, and commissioning of electrical and ICA systems that support critical water and wastewater infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Deliver electrical design solutions for Motor Control Centres (MCCs), cabling networks, and instrumentation systems within water treatment projects.

• Review and prepare design drawings, technical documentation, and functional design specifications.

• Oversee EICA installations by subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Support factory and site acceptance testing, inspection, and commissioning.

• Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

What We're Looking For

• Degree/HND/HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.

• At least 3 years' experience in electrical and ICA design within the water industry (or a related utilities/M&E environment).

• Strong knowledge of MCC/panel design, LV/ELV systems, and industrial instrumentation.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to travel regionally and nationwide.

• Full UK driving licence.
