Job Description

Intermediate to Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services / MEP)

Location: Exeter, Devon – Flexible Working

Salary: £45k - £65k

Role and Responsibilities:

Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design
Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
Ensuring that the design of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation to minimize environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint

Experience and Skills Required:

Experience in building services projects from conception through to completion, including calculations, drawings, and specifications
A relevant electrical or building services degree
Ability to manage own projects or, at senior level, lead larger design projects and manage engineering teams
Understanding of consulting practice environments
Ability to support and mentor junior engineers
