Electrical Design Engineer – Havant – circa £50,000

We are partnered with a marine manufacturing company based in Havant, a company we have a proven track record in recruiting for including the manager that this role reports into. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical design engineer looking for an opportunity to join a global leader in their sector.

This company have a well-known reputation within the marine industry manufacturing high quality products for a range of yachts and boats. They have a large design department, and this particular position of Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of marine electronic systems for a range or marine products offering a challenge and variety.

The job role:

The Electrical Design Engineer will have some of the following responsibilities:

* Develop and design electrical circuits (AC/DC)

* Conduct thorough fault-finding

* Commission and maintain electric motors, switching circuits, and motor controllers

* Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users

* Lead and oversee the design review process

Requirements:

To be suitable for the role of Electrical Design Engineer, you will have previous experience in a similar design role and ideally some of the following skills and experience.

* 5 years experience ideally within a similar role

* Proficient in PLC programming, particularly Siemens PLCs.

* Experience with electric motors, switching circuits, and motor controllers.

* Previous experience of Electro-Mechanical assemblies.

* Proficiency in using Eplan and Auto CAD for design and documentation.

* Expertise in electrical circuit design (AC/DC).
