Electrical Engineer

Joining our Rod and Bar Mill team as an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be working on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery in the industry. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage electrical activities, for example planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs.
Undertake development performance reviews for electrical craftspeople.
Ensure that risk assessments, method statements, and permits are created, implemented, and followed.
Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for repair and improvement projects.
Work directly with engineers in other disciplines and shift managers to ensure effective running of the process.
Working within the wider Engineering Management Team, you’ll be leading and managing projects as well as a team of Electrical Technicians. Analysis, design, and planning are important responsibilities, as well as being down on the plant and getting stuck in.
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, passionate about continuous learning and always looking to widen your skillset. You will have experience in a heavy industry environment and enjoy hands-on, practical engineering.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum HNC)
Experience of SCADA/HMI and PLC systems
Strong knowledge and experience of large AC/DC motor controls, inverters, and converters
Hands-on engineer who will do what it takes to keep the plant running
Experience of leading and developing successful teams

Requirements
