OverviewSite Based Electrical Engineer – Facilities ManagementSalary: Upto £45,000 (£47,400 OTE with call out rota)Locations: Uxbridge, Middlesex & Longcross, SurreyWorking hours: 40 hours, this role will cover 2 shift patterns; 7am - 4pm and 9am - 6pmCall out rota: Currently 1 in every 4 weeks, Monday – Sunday (To be discussed further at interview)Other key details: Full UK Driving License essential for this role, An electric van is provided to travel between the 2 sites & call out rota.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities Management team in a multi-site role at one of our prestigious clients in the Media & Entertainment industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and compliance of all electrical systems across the 2 sites. ResponsibilitiesConduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and plant equipment.Perform electrical repairs, replacements, and upgrades to ensure safe and reliable operation of all systems.Respond promptly to electrical faults or emergencies, diagnose issues efficiently, and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime. Ensure all electrical work complies with UK regulations, BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, and relevant codes of practice.Carry out periodic testing and inspection of electrical systems, maintaining accurate records of test results and certification.Stay updated on regulatory changes, implementing necessary improvements to maintain compliance and best practice standards. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and contractors on electrical systems and equipment.Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems with wider building services and infrastructure.Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for new installations or upgrades, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.Although the role is electrically biased, flexibility to undertake other maintenance tasks is expected. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports of all maintenance activities, inspections, works completed, outstanding issues, improvement recommendations and test results.Support the facilities management team in developing maintenance budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reports. Participate in the out-of-hours callout Rota (currently one in four) to provide emergency response support. Recognised UK electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent; NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation; 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair within a Facilities Management or building services environment.Strong understanding of UK electrical regulations, standards, and safe systems of work.Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Full clean UK driving license with flexibility to travel between sites.
