What you'll be doing No two days are the same here. One moment you'll be maintaining and repairing critical electrical systems, the next you'll be programming PLCs or working alongside the wider engineering team to reduce downtime and keep production running smoothly. Expect to: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot motors, drives (VFDs), control systems, and wiring. Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery. Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics. Program PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems. Support major maintenance projects and respond to urgent breakdowns when needed.

What you'll bring We're looking for someone who's confident working with high-voltage equipment and complex production systems, ideally in paper, pulp, or a similar environment. You'll also need: NVQ Level 3 Diploma (Electrical) 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations Time-served apprenticeship or technical school background At least 5 years' experience as an Industrial Electrician Bonus points if you've got PLC programming or motor control certification
