We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a market leading manufacturing business based in Preston
This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion and business growth. The Business have also recently invested in new systems and processes for the site to improve and develop the maintenance processes within the team.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG / Industrial maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience within PLC Fault Finding is a must. Experience working with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics / Motors/ pumps/ Conveyors is also advantageous
This is a shift based role working 4 on 4 off (2 Days 6AM - 6PM + 2 Nights 6PM - 6AM)
Candidates must be time served with a demonstrable background in Electrical Maintenance.
Role Description
To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery
Reduce engineering downtime, respond rapidly to machine failures & breakdowns
Undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations
To always keep open and clear lines of communication with management and fellow colleagues
To undertake, develop & improve planned maintenance schedules
To prioritise work within the engineering department & deploy resources accordingly
To identify training needs or weak spots within the department
To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery within the corrugating / conversion plant
Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a Fast pacedmanufacturing environment
Candidates must be Time Served with a demonstrable background in Electrical Maintenance
Familiar with Siemens PLCs Fault Finding
Knowledge of Mechanical systems including Conveyors/ Hydraulics/ Pneumatics/ Motors/ Pumps
Strong communication skills.
